We want every customer to feel confident they’re dealing with the real 3D Essentials. Here’s how to check, how we take payment, and the things we’ll never ask you to do.

In short

We only ever contact you from the channels listed below, we only take payment through a secure payment link sent after your order is finalised, and our bank details never change. If anything looks different from this, stop and check with us directly.

01Our only official channels

These are the only ways the real 3D Essentials will contact you or take your order:

If you’re contacted from any other address, number, account or website claiming to be us, treat it as suspicious.

02How we take payment

There are two ways, and no others. Either you pay from your own account, where an accepted quote shows a Pay button that hands you to a checkout page hosted by Stripe; or we send you a secure payment link or invoice, processed by Stripe or Monzo. Which one applies depends on the order and we will tell you. Either way your card number and security code are typed on the payment provider’s own page and never touch this website, our server or our database, and money settles into our Monzo business account. Nothing is ever charged automatically or on a schedule: you pay when you are ready, against a quote you have accepted. For the full picture, see our Security page.

We will never

Pressure you to pay instantly, ask you to pay in gift cards, vouchers or cryptocurrency, ask for payment to a random personal account that we haven’t confirmed, or ask for your full card number, PIN, online-banking password or one-time security codes. Anyone doing this is not us.

03What a genuine change will look like

Businesses change, and criminals know that a change is the easiest moment to rob somebody. So here is how you will hear about any change from us, written down in advance on a page you can check against later.

Our details can change — an address, a phone number, the way an invoice looks. When anything changes, it will be written here first, so you can always check a surprise against this page rather than against an email that surprised you.

The one that matters

Our bank details will not change, and we will never email you to say they have. Not at the end of a tax year, not when anything else about us changes, not ever. An email, letter or call telling you our account has changed and asking you to pay somewhere new is fraud, however well it is written and whoever it appears to come from. If you get one, do not reply to it — ring 07516 880903 or write to freddie@freddiesparrow.co.uk and ask.

The same goes in the other direction: if an invoice from us ever looks different from the last one in a way this page does not explain, treat it as suspicious until you have checked. We would far rather answer a question than see anyone lose money.

04How to spot a scam

When in doubt, don’t click links in the message. Come straight to 3dessentials.co.uk and contact us using the details above.

05About the previous owner of the shop’s domain

3dessentials.co.uk was acquired from the company it previously belonged to, a business Freddie had been working with. We are a separate business. Any message, invoice or order claiming to be from that previous company is nothing to do with us — if you need to reach them, email us and we’ll point you in the right direction. See our Terms for details.

06Worried about something?

If you think you’ve been targeted by someone pretending to be us, please let us know at freddie@freddiesparrow.co.uk so we can warn others. If you’ve lost money or shared bank details, contact your bank straight away and report it to Action Fraud (or call 159 to reach your bank safely).

This guidance is provided to help you stay safe and does not reduce your responsibilities or ours under our terms or the shop’s terms of sale.
